Your Donations Built This School InZerkoum, Burkina Faso

Uptown Cheapskate and Kid to Kid have partnered with buildOn to fund and build schools in rural communities in developing countries. In February 2016, buildOn completed a new school in Zerkoum, Burkina Faso funded by your donations. Burkina Faso is home to over 16.5 million people and it is ranked as the 5th economically poorest country in the world. It has the lowest level of literacy in the world, with 78 percent of its population illiterate and only 58 percent of children in primary school. With their new facilities, they are able to learn in a functional building equipped with desks, space for every student, and bathrooms.
