HILLIARD, OH—Nate and Rachael Blankenship and their team have worked tirelessly to open the doors of the second Uptown Cheapskate store in Ohio. They are excited to host their Grand Opening beginning Thursday, July 26, at 4 p.m. The festivities will last until Sunday evening at 6.
For first-time customers to an Uptown Cheapskate store, Nate has a message for you. “When you walk into our Uptown Cheapskate in Hilliard, you will second guess yourself that what you are walking into is a resale store.” That’s a testament to the store itself, and to the way that the employees behind the scenes have prepared for you. “You will be greeted and assisted with any of your shopping needs by staff that are educated on the store and its products. The goal is for us to make ourselves available before your need of assistance arises.”
No doubt customers in the area will flock to the store for this unique shopping experience. Located at 5303 Westpointe Plaza just off I-70, this Uptown Cheapskate franchise serves large communities on the west side of Columbus. The best part is the Blankenships’ love for the community. “We are ultimately here to do good for the community of Hilliard, and in doing so provide a place where they can get the latest fashions at prices they can afford,” says Nate.
For the last few weeks, the store has been open for members of the public to sell their gently used clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories. Customers receive cash or store credit on the spot for brands like Michael Kors, Urban Outfiters, Anthropologie, J. Crew, and more.
During the Grand Opening, customers can shop for the first time for new and like-new items at up to 70 percent off retail prices. “The idea of recycling your gently used clothing for cash or 25 percent more in store credit lends itself to promoting an idea we can both do good for the environment, and benefit ourselves as well with some cash!” says Nate. And with school starting just around the corner, who couldn’t use a little more spending money and a fresh wardrobe?
